Community Kitchen

3 Court Lane, Wollongong

The Lifeline South Coast Community Kitchen is a safe, welcoming space where anyone can come for a warm meal, friendly conversation, and a sense of connection. Whether you’re doing it tough or just need a place to pause, our doors are open—no questions asked and no cost involved.

We serve a variety of hearty meals, from soups and stews to roast vegetables and salads, along with tea, coffee, and snacks each morning. Morning tea and lunch are served daily in our dining room, providing not just nourishment, but also dignity and community.

This service is powered by the incredible support of volunteers and community donations. From preparing and serving meals to offering a listening ear, our volunteers help create the caring environment the kitchen is known for. We welcome new volunteers and donations of fresh produce, pantry items, or funding to help us continue supporting those who need it most.

There are two powerful ways you can help:

🥫 Food Donations

We gratefully accept donations of pantry staples and fresh produce. Key items we regularly need include:

Pantry staples: rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes, beans, lentils, long-life milk, oil, sauces, herbs, and spices

Perishables: fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, meat, poultry, and eggs

All food donations must be within use-by dates and meet food safety guidelines. If you’re unsure, reach out and we’ll guide you through what we can accept.

💛 Financial Donations

If you’d prefer to donate funds, your contribution helps us purchase fresh ingredients, cover utilities, and maintain the space. Every dollar helps us continue serving meals and creating a safe, welcoming environment for those in need..

Together, we can nourish bodies and restore dignity—one meal at a time.

✨ A Special Thanks to the
IMB Community Foundation ✨

We are deeply grateful to the IMB Community Foundation for their ongoing and continuous financial support. Thanks to their most recent contribution, we were able to refurbish our Community Kitchen, transforming it into a warm and welcoming space.

Together, we worked to move away from the clinical feel and create a respectful and supportive environment where our community members are greeted with hot meals and smiling volunteers.

Without their generosity, this refreshed look and feel would not have been possible. Thank you, IMB Community Foundation, for helping us make a real difference. 💙
