Book Fair

Lifeline’s Big Book Fair is the major fundraising event for Lifeline’s 24-hours crisis support service in the Illawarra and South Coast.

Big Book Fair – October 2022

Lifeline’s Big Book Fair is back, with over 80,000 pre-loved books on sale over three days. Our next event is being held on Friday, 21 – Sunday, 23 October 2022 at the Illawarra Sports Stadium, Berkeley.

Every book you buy helps support the 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Support Line so we can answer more phone calls to people in need, as well as suicide prevention services in the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and South Coast.

COVID-safe guidelines

Our priority is the health and safety of our team members, volunteers and the people in our community, and we will continue to take the advice from NSW Health and Australian Government officials. Wherever possible stay 1.5 metres apart and practise good hand hygiene. If there is a COVID-19 outbreak, we will follow health advice and let you know of any cancellations or postponements as soon as possible.

Book Fair Categories

Pre-loved books will be displayed in over 50 categories: Childrens, fiction (paperback, hardcover, romance, science fiction, fantasy, horror), hobbies (cooking, gardening, sport), sciences (science, economics, education), arts (biographies, history, Australiana, travel, religion, psychology) and old books such as old and interested or something special.
