Our governance framework is based on a set of values and behaviours that underpin our day to day activities, provide transparency, and protect the interests of stakeholders.

Governance Documents

Our Board

Lifeline South Coast’s Board consists of 7 Board Members. Individually and collectively the Board Members strive to use their experience of business and community life to add value to the organisation as well as effectively monitor its operations. Lifeline South Coast is committed to supporting diversity in the workplace.

Activity of the Board includes: establishing the organisation’s strategic direction; reviewing and approving business plans and budgets; overseeing compliance and performance management systems; analysing results and exploring opportunities for improving outcomes; and looking at the evolving landscape and anticipating the future community and organisational needs.

Expressions of Interest

Lifeline South Coast is seeking expressions of interest to join our Board. We encourage those from diverse backgrounds and diverse personal and professional experiences to express their interest. We are seeking a Board that is reflective of the communities we serve.

About the role

As a Board Member, you are expected to contribute to the development of the strategic direction of the organisation, financial stewardship, and good governance.

The estimated time commitment is 3-5 hours per month including preparation and readings for meetings, attendance at meetings, and follow up as required. In addition, there is 1 – 2 full day sessions per year. There is an opportunity to attend meetings virtually.

This is a volunteer role. We have multiple positions available.

 

About you

You are committed to making a meaningful, positive impact on the local community through your contribution to the Board. You believe that suicide is preventable, and no one should need to face their darkest moments alone.

You are prepared to ask tough questions, work cooperatively and collaboratively.

You are able to commit the required time to the role.

We are specifically seeking people with skills in one or more of the area’s below

  • Lived/living experience of suicide
  • Understanding of theories and concepts of suicide
  • Working with diverse groups
